My favorite sports headline of 2011:
"Indians acquire Fukudome to boost struggling offense"
Hey, if Kosuke Fukudome -- probably baseball's worst stretch-run hitter during his first three years in Cubbieland and one of the biggest of Jim Hendry's many big busts -- is part of the Indians' master plan, they deserve the third- or fourth-place fate that awaits them.
Oh, and by the way, Fukudome went 0-for-4 and stranded four runners in his Cleveland debut, a 12-0 loss to the mighty Royals.
How do you say Mr. Clutch in Japanese?

May isn't Fukudome's month. June, July, August, Sept and Oct ain't so great, either
^
It's May, so baseball fans know what that means:
Time to go short on Kosuke Fukudome stock. And by all means, sell Jason Marquis.

Unlike U.S. pucksters, Marquette wins on road!
Can't believe the Olympics are over already. Why, it seemed like I started ignoring them just 2 1/2 weeks ago.
Did you see the BIG game yesterday? That's right: I'm talking about Marquette's win over Seton Hall, the Golden Warrior Eagles' third straight Big East overtime road victory. I'm starting to think Final Four. Of course, I'm also starting to think I'll win Powerball.
